1. When the Barisan Nasional did very badly in the March 2008 general elections, all the component parties except those in Sabah and Sarawak experienced losses as they had never done before.
2. In the aftermath of the elections, the component parties pointed accusing fingers at each other. Very quickly they were at each other's throats.
3. There were talks about leaving the BN. And now we are seeing the first party to do so and to become an independent party.
2. In the aftermath of the elections, the component parties pointed accusing fingers at each other. Very quickly they were at each other's throats.
3. There were talks about leaving the BN. And now we are seeing the first party to do so and to become an independent party.
4. Where before all parties avoided raising sensitive issues in public, now in the name of democracy and liberalism sensitive issues are brought up in which the component parties of the BN make known the differences in their view. The result is to widen the divide separating the BN component parties.
5. When Ahmad Ismail made unpalatable remarks about the Chinese, it was made out that it was the view of UMNO itself. Far from denying it, the UMNO leadership accepted the blame and apologised. This solved nothing as the Chinese parties refused to accept the apology but demanded the culprit himself should apologise.
6. He refused and UMNO whose president heads the Government suspended Ahmad for three years. This may satisfy some Chinese but almost immediately the Government arrested a Chinese MP under ISA. The effects of Ahmad's suspension have been nullified.
7. Now the Malays are angry with the Chinese and the Chinese are angry with the Malays. Party-wise UMNO is angry with Gerakan and MCA and Gerakan/MCA are angry with UMNO.
8. Threats to leave the BN are made by the Chinese parties, not just because of Ahmad's refusal to apologise but also because of the impression that they are subservient to UMNO. They believe that the failure of Chinese voters to vote for them was due to this junior position they hold in BN. To correct this impression they found it necessary to take pot shots at UMNO and defy the BN leadership.
9. Privately UMNO, MCA Gerakan and MIC express their dislike of Dato Seri Abdullah and his Premiership. But none seem willing to acknowledge that it was dislike for Abdullah which caused the BN to lose the support of the people. Instead they picked on the parties and blame each other.
10. At the rate things are going the BN might split asunder. If each party go their separate ways, none would become a force in Malaysian politics and certainly none, not even UMNO, can aspire to form the Government of Malaysia. Of course they can all join the Opposition under Anwar, but they would still play a subservient role in the Opposition. In any case the Opposition withi its ideological incompatibility would not make a good Government, capable of handling Malaysia's multi-racial population. It is difficult to think that the hodge-podge collection of incompatible parties can handle oncoming economic and financial problems that are inevitable.
11. The stability of this country has been undermined by the weakness and incompetence of the current Government and the harsh bickering between the Government parties. A Government by the Opposition is not going to be any better and probably would be worse.
12. Currently we are seeing the loss of confidence in the ability of the Government to deal with economic problems. Foreign investors are not coming and together with locals are pulling out their investments in the stock market. From a high of almost 1500 the index is now below 1000. God knows how much market capital has been wiped out.
13. The Ringgit is depreciating and may shrink further. The cost of living has shot up. Businesses are having a hard time already. The recent decision to tax excess profits of the Independent Power Producers has caused foreign investors and locals too to lose confidence. The tax has now been withdrawn but not for the first year. This alone would put the IPPs in trouble with their banks.
14. In at least one case a foreign investor has been given back his deposit of almost 100 million Ringgit because allegedly there was some technical error.
15. I once said Malaysia as a multi-racial country needs a strong government. Multi-racial countries have to face race relation problems. With the need to handle racial problems, the managment of the economy becomes extremely difficult.
16. I cannot see the Opposition with its loose organisation being able to handle Malaysia's racial and economic problems.
17. In the past, the BN Government had managed to keep Malaysia stable and to develop the country as well. If it seems not to be able to do so now it is not because the BN as a party is no longer suitable for this country. It is simply due to very poor and incompetent leadership.
18. The component parties of the BN should not think that their best hope is to see the demise of the BN. Rather they should all come together to resuscitate it. If it is necessary to dump the leader than they should do so. But destroying the BN will neither be good for the component parties nor for the nation.
19. I am not an UMNO member even but I would like to suggest the component parties should stop blaming each other, stop taking pot-shots at each other. Instead they should all come together and review the structure of BN. They should try for a win-win or lose-lose solution in dealing with inter-party relations. They should listen to the people and to their own members and find ways to satisfy their needs; to overcome their dissatisfaction.
20. There must be some new thinking on the BN concept. But the basic premises about close collaboration between the parties, about the need to help each other, to accommodate and deal with grouses together should be maintained.
21. I believe that for this multi-racial, multi-lingual, multi-religious and multi-cultural country with extreme economic disparities, the BN is still the best political solution provider. It is still the best way for the different races to cooperate to govern this country.
22. As the Malays say "Because of one drop of indigo, a whole pot of milk is spoilt."
23. We must not throw out the baby with the bath water.
24. The BN is still relevant. It is still the ideal coalition for Malaysia's multi-racial population.

i'm da first
Dear Tun,
I am not a fan or die hard supporter of BN but wrote based on my perception of what is good value.
The BN Component parties in particularly UMNO , MCA and MIC must work together and not think of leaving just because of poor election results after 50 years of working together.
True friends must work things out together in the face of hardship or else they would be called fair weather friends.
Times have changed and they need to study what the rakyat wants especially the younger generation of voters and make the changes that is good for our rakyat and country.
Y.A.Bhg. Tun,
Yes, BN is still relevant and I wonder whether D.S. Samy Vellu will ever get elected for any post in the new non-racial party he suggested as in democracy, majority wins!
Pak Teh
I agree with you 100% percent. If this being going on for so long, I don't know what will be the future for BN. Common Pak2 Menteri, wake up!! Kalau orang di dalam kerajaan sendiri tak berubah, nobody can....
I miss your leadership Tun!
TUN,
Keadaan semakin hari semakin bergerak arak berlainan.
the ship is shrinking....and Pak lah is to be blamed for that. UMNO's internal problem is more to structural. So Tun's advice is badly needed to rectify the matter.
Tun,
Yes, I agree. BN is still relevant. After this, I think BN will be less arrogant, more rakyat-friendly and will be stronger.
Best Regards,
http://www.leading.com.my
I may agree that BN is still relevant, because I have not seen anyone who has the capability to handle the racist problems, let alone to manage current economy situations.
Who will take charge to stop (or at least temporarily hold) the capital flights and by not just twisting figures, but in other word really working to show that Malaysia has not swallowed-up big impact from situations abroad (though not 100%). But at least we in Malaysia, has enough food, no need to drink expensive treatment water, green and quite nature to surrender and on top of that, we have knowledgeable workers. Though our economy does not have large consumption in term of people (~27 mil) - but try to make investors confident.
Hums... Would much appreciate if u can discuss further on pegging Ringgit.
Thanks!
Dear Tun,
But how can non-malay parties be calling for the resignation of UMNO president. Especially since their party are also the main reason for the loss since the non-malays were also the ones that backed away from voting for BN. And yet, no one calls for the resignation of their leaders.
I also believe that when you had voiced out your dissatisfaction of the projects that you initiated, it has caused people to think your call for Abdullah's resignation was personal more than competency. Skeptics are also saying that you may have stakes in those projects that Abdullah canceled. This perception needs to be eliminated.

Salam tun,
jangan kerana selesa menjadi YB hingga lupa dir.
Tun,
Apa pun Tun buat, nak buat, kata, nak kata, saya sokong...
Dear Tun,
Why people hate UMNO. Look at the following argument.
Tell me Tun, who is right and who is wrong. To me UMNO is dead wrong.
How to support UMNO with such draconian law;
Tun,
I found out that in most of your blog, you stressed that BN is still the best party to rule the country. If AAB is not the best selection for the Prime Minister to handle the racial problem in Malaysia, I do believe that Najib is not a good choice either (when Najib is involved with the Mongolian case). AAB is smart enough to kick recent problems in the country to Najib. So, now everyone is looking at Najib. So, the burden is now on Najib. If Najib is not effective to bring up solutions to make the economy in Malaysia better, this will be a harm for BN to still survive in holding the power to rule the country.
With Tun 22 years experience as a PM, I do believe that Najib is not a wise choice in Tun's mind. Tun stressing that Tun had regret in choosing AAB as the prime minister after you. I hate to say that Tun chosing AAB for your deputy is simply just to reduce the threat that Najib will cause to Tun at that time.
No matter how Tun think in the past, that is no longer important. I believe that it is the time for Tun to go back to BN or Umno to restructure BN and compensate the wrong choice of Tun had made. What Malaysia and UMNO need? They just need a wise leader to lead the country which Malaysians can really share the fruits from economic development. Tun, pls come back to BN if you still think that BN is the best political party. Show to all Malaysians that you are regret for choosing AAB and you are prepared to responsible of every wrong decision AAB had made ever since you select him. Dont let Anwar to get advantages of the mess now is BN. Just like what Tun think, I also believe that it is quite impossible for 31 MPs to crossover to PR. Every political members are just in the wait and see thinking. No one will dare to take any action!
Tun, 7 millions of people already support you in your blog! please come back to political stage again for all the Malaysians!
salam Tun,
Ahmad Ismail tu memang kiasu Pak Lah...dia yang patut masuk ISA..Pak Lah sje gunakan kiasu nie untuk dapatkan kembali pengaruh org melayu..tapi x berjaya sebab org cina bkn lagi pak turut kerajaan.org cina mmg x puas hati kt Pak Lah sejak dri dlu lagi..sebab utama ialah Pak Lah tak tau nk puaskn hati tokey2 cina..tak tau nk jaga ekonomi..yang monopoli projek hanya anak menantu..isu ahmad ismail mmg memakan diri Pak Lah kali nie...drpda isu nie ah pelengkap penolakan kaum bukan melayu kepada Pak Lah..hanya Tun sje yg tau perangai org cina..dan cra untuk 'menjaga' mereka di bumi Malaysia nie..
The Holy Quran mentioned in Chapter 4 (An Nisa'), Verse 9...
This is what Tun is doing... Keep on telling it as it is, Tun... That's the way!
salam tun
Assalamualaikum Tun,
Bimbang betui la nie , takut terjadi lagi rusuhan kaum. Bilalah Pak Lah nak sedar..takkan sampai ada tumpah darah baru nak tukar PM. Tun, keadaan ekonomi sekarang nie macam hampir sama ( kalau tak silap saya )macam tahun 1997..kenapa Dato'Seri Najib tak nak tambat ringgit? Semalam saja tengok berita ada pakar ekonomi, menyokong cara-cara Tun mengawal nilai ringgit..rasanya itulah yang sewajarnya kerajaan lakukan sekarang.
Semoga Allah Swt panjangkan umur Tun dan isteri. Amin.
Hashimah
Cheras.
pray for peace and order, and please be well educated as not to break the nation for the selfish gains!!
I wish you as a senior Malaysian, and please let the relevant leaders to resolve the issues which are just too unfair for you to be burdened after your 22 years of hard work.
Let yourself be well recorded as father of malaysian Modernization.
Though you had not been able to hold the 1 Ringgit for 1 Singapore, you did not sell us to be the slaves of USA + IMF.
Please just watch from side lines, and as you are NO longer a UMNO member, please why do you not trying to comment about those daring comments made by recent MCA, Gerakan + MIC who had views which are different from the applications of ISA and the reviews of this ISA is highly controversial for MCA present President Ong Ka Ting.
Looking forward to meet you when you are free, just call me 012-3292101/016-3312101/016-2059923.
Really hope you could give me and my wife a short or brief meeting to catch up with your past glories, and forget about intensive involvements in all this daily affairs, pray for you and your family in this holy fasting month fro most of the Muslim friends.

Hidup TUN!!!.. Selamatkanlah Malaysia....
Bukan lemah & lembik....
PAK LAH & KRONI METI TURUN.. Kalau tidak, MALAYSIA akan sia-sia...
BN bukan lagi satu pilihan yg ideal seperti dahulu.
Salam Tun,
Semoga Malaysia kembali seperti dahulu... Tidak berkecamuk macam sekarang ini
Salam TUN,
Assalamualaikum and a very good afternoon to all bloggers
tun, as always.. u know economy very well "doctor"..
why politicians dont want to listen to u? It's because u r no longer in the government? Well they have to think again.. at least more than me.. pointing each other wont solve the problem.. what i learnt from my parents, if u have a problem..face it and be strong.
to fellow politicians who claimed they are a leader.. please respect our former leader like Tun.
btw Tun, i like these para:
22. As the Malays say "Because of one drop of indigo, a whole pot of milk is spoilt."
23. We must not throw out the baby with the bath water.
Selamat sejahtera Tun dan semua
Norhasfalina
Assalaamualaikuum Tun.
Tun is brilliant as ever tak mengenal penat walau pun di mamah usia demi untuk menyelamatkan Negara Malaysia yang tak menentu sekarang ini.
Perdana Menteri :Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad
Timbalan Perdana Menteri: Tan Sri Muhyidin Yaasin.
God Bless You TUN INSHA ALLAH.
im 2nd to none..haha
DEAR PAK LAH AND CREW , PLS LISTEN TO ALL THESE COMMENTS BY TUN . PLEASE STEP DOWN BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE . UMNO , MCA , MIC , GERAKAN IS NOT WRONG . PAK LAH LEADERSHIP SHOULD BE BLAME . BN IS STILL RELEVANT FOR MALAYSIAN . PLEASE BEFORE MALAYSIA "CHAOS" . PAK LAH ATTITUDE IS LIKE "SAMAK PM " IN THAILAND . PAK LAH SHOULD TAKE NOTE THAT WE MALAYSIAN ARE NOW IN A STATE OF GREAT DISORDER AND CONFUSION . LEPASKANLAH PAK LAH DEMI KEDAMAIAN KAMI RAKYAT MALAYSIA . BUKANKAH ITU YANG PAK LAH CARI DENGAN PUISINYA " AKU CARI DAMAI DI HATI " ??????
In reality, Malaysia has many talents.
In your quest to develop the Malays for betterments of Malaysia, and you had made several attempts to divert plenty of resources to assist the Malays, but in reality you were well informed too that Ali Baba businesses were every where too!
Undeniable about the talents were to be well exhibited, but your biggest regret would be the inability to focus on the mind changing on those poorer Malays over economics, and of course those greedy people who had capitalized your kindness, they simply abused and cheated on you.
Such shaem was on the Plaza Rakyat @ Puduraya!!
A bus terminal which caters for poorer Malaysians in the centre of KL was just abandoned for so many years!!
I blame you on this failure as it was your over excitement in KLIA, Ports, and also Double Track projects, you had ignored and failed to develop this POOREST man's transpor!
But as you are too busy to focus on many other issues, this is an issue you could not handle well, and to blame all on you is very unfair too.
Thank you for having KLCC, and we are enjoying NS Highways, but NOT LDP/SPRINT/KESAS......
Not IWK, NOT TAG monopolized by some private company!
You have God to square, and I pray for you and wish you all the best!!
Best regards,

Salam Tun,
salam tun..
take care of ur health..
happy eid!!
Viva Tun Berdua,
Selamat berpuasa, semoga Tun berdua mendapat rahmah Allah sentiasa.
Tun, u r right. Sometimes I think that the country might be corrupted during Tun's time but at least the country is progressing very well. But now.....
Everyone is difficult....except maybe the gov't servant.....
Pakatan Rakyat might be able to form the government but i doubt PAS and DAP can really see eye to eye.
How to form a Good Government????
Tun,
Whether it is BN Govt, or Opposition Govt, or any whoever, whoever who runs the govt, it will still be all the govt servants etc. manning the Kementerian and Jabatan's offices. The mechanism and instrument will still be the same to service the nation. It is useless to convince the people that only BN can do the job. What we need is a strong leadership at the very top to unite the people's belief in working towards a common goal. I am so sorry Tun, I don't see anybody with that calibre in BN now.
Salam Tun...
Semogo Sihat Sentiasa
DEAR TUN;
U R ALWAYS THE BEST OF THE BEST TO GIVE US STRENGHT AND HOPES TO CARRY ON NO MATTER IT IS DURING GOOD OR RAINY DAYS TO COME.
MAY GOD BLESS U & FAMILY AND ALL OUR MALAYSIAN NO MATTER U ARE MALAY, CHINESE, INDIAN OR OTHERS.
GOD BLESS & REGARDS;
MALAYSIA STEEL PLAYER
You think throwing the leader out will solved the BN problem?
You did develop Malaysia to an unprecedented level (at the cost of our future generation). Many people wanted you to go earlier. When you finally volunteered to step down, many people were very happy and thought the country could redeem what went wrong under your government.
Heck! It's even worse. Some will say the global ecomomy is the culprit. Yes, but even if the global economy wasn't this bad, the situation in this country is not any better. The economy is only adding salt to the wound. It was already bleeding, nonetheless.
The government under BN continues to make wrong decisions and to take ridiculous actions. It's the thinking and mentality of the party that put great risk to the country. Unless drastic changes on the party "culture" is taking place, changing the leader is just like eating KFC when McD tastes horrible. It's still fast food.
Tun,
I agree with all the points beside
7. Now the Malays are angry with the Chinese and the Chinese are angry with the Malays. Party-wise UMNO is angry with Gerakan and MCA and Gerakan/MCA are angry with UMNO.
I personally think it should be
7. Now the Malays UMNO are angry with the Chinese Gerakan/MCA and the Chinese Gerakan/MCA are angry with the Malays UMNO. Party-wise UMNO is angry with Gerakan and MCA and Gerakan/MCA are angry with UMNO.
It is UMNO views which do not represent the whole malay views. At least most of my malay friend, do not care what UMNO has said nowadays because it is showing racism symbol.
Finally, if Koh Tsu Koon supporter is the person who tear Ahmad photos, then he and his supporter will be jailed unlike Ahmad nowadays and This is my malay friend thought.
Anyway, take care of your health, Tun!
1. How would we know something won't work if we don't try? Let's give multiracial party a try!
2. I disagree with the statement that BN is the only model for a 'many multi' Malaysia. Singapore is a good example where multiracial party is striving and they had similar beginnings like BN. So why is it only BN faltered and PAP is thriving?
3. In my opinion, BN have effectively catered to the demands of the races in Malaysia but BN also have effectively caused the races to drift apart. BN concept is like this- 'we all can be under one roof but we can never be together' and thats how BN wants us to view Malaysia, our country.
Just my 3 cents worth of opinion. Lalala
tun,
never in my life i saw two man obsessed to be prime minister. They are Anwar Ibrahim dan Khairy Jamaluddin. This self-centered ambitions had become cancerous to nation stability.
its sinking... save it..
Tun,
Sometimes people tend to be deaf and blind. Itulah masalah masyarakat kita.

Dear Tun,
I had and still believe in BN and its' ideals.
I remember having a conversation with my colleagues about 15 years ago, yes you were the PM then. We talked about politics and Gina posed a suggestion saying "why must there be race based parties within the BN. Why can't the BN be a single party that welcomes members from all races"
My response was that even if the BN subscribed to her suggestion, the structure would still be the same. The Chairman/President will be Dr. Mahathir, who will also be the person in charge of Malay affairs, Chinese affairs will be a Lee Liong Sik, Indian affairs will be Samy Vellu so on and so forth. Meaning that it will still be a rose but given a different name.
The PR parties also work in the same manner. You can take the present Penang Government as an example. The affairs of different communities are given to the leader of that particular community to manage and take care.
This clearly shows that the BN formula works in Malaysia. I have to agree with you, Tun that the component parties within BN must get back to the BN basics and discuss among themselves ways to resuscitate BN. There is no point in openly throwing brickbats at each other and at the end of the day, everybody gets hurt but the root cause is still not resolved.
To the BN leaders, please take Tun's advise and work hard to preserve and strengthen the party.
As for Tun & wife, Selamat Berpuasa & Selamat Menyambut Hari Raya Aidil Fitri.
P/S: My daughter was awfully glad that you were there to give away the scrolls at the recent Universiti Teknologi Petronas 8th Convocation. Her photos really show. Thanks Tun.
Salam Tun & all chedet.com members,
You became a troubleshooter for nation & country when you were a PM,but now already turned upside down.I befriend with non-malays as well and they also perceive that the power transition must be xpedited asap. But as you said in earlier article 'Pak Lah pejamkan mata & pekakkan telinga" against all critics and comments from rakyat.Janganlah pula memekakkan telinga & memejamkan mata sehingga memaksa rakyat meniru apa yg terjadi di Thailand, tak pasal2 rakyat berdemonstrasi dan mengepung Putrajaya...nauzubillah...
In my opinion I confident that if someone capable to replace Pak Lah,the BN coalition parties will be strengthened and absolutely "no confident motion" will be heard...
Semoga Tun membantu menyelamatkan tanah air Malaysia yg tercinta ini ...Amin
correct
I agree with point no.24. Opposition party, they only want power. They are just plain Power Crazeee.....
Salam Tun
We live in a plural nation, thus we need each other to survive. I do personally hope that in any workplace there isn;t any racism been practiced. For instance the Malay hate the Chinese or vice versa or perhaps other races hate each other.
It is so sad to see this happening.
For the ISA, probably it is still relevant to ensure things are back to normalcy.
Just want the best for Malaysia.
Thank you.
Im da second....
Dear Fellow Malaysian...
Raise and unite....
Love your country, love your nation, love your religion and love your race...
Let's get together and work towards the change.
Let's together VOICE OUR CONCERN for our PM to step down.
Hello Mr. PM.....Please stop all these noncense..."sleeping", undecisive, unsure, uncontrol, unaware, and many more...
MALAYSIAN already BORED of you.....
my 3rd comment.
Tun,
i have great respect of BN, i think it is a great concept until ppl exploited it.
But, don't just blame on the leadership alone. Young malaysian now adays, majority doesn't really mind who is in power, as long as it is not BIAS.
just look at how irritated people get when keris is uphold. a statesman fr a big country when asked to comment once said - "It is NOT THE KERIS, it is the manner and who is holding it that matters."
just look at how bloggers responded when the son-in-law shouted that they are monkeys.
just look at how disgusted malaysian get when we see the lawyer brokering judges. (this is one of the korek-korek-korek that swing the votes - who are part of them? are you?)
just look at APs being distributed in favour to create personal wealth, in the name of NEP (how many bumi really get rich through APs)
just look at how many get away unpunished - Bung Mokhtar on bocor remarks, OneEyeClose - MP, the son-in-law and keris Hisham.
Hopefully, we get a leader, INCLUDING YOU, will speak up on behalf every UNJUST. NOT ONLY RACE, not by getting votes through being ULTRA.
A Poem of "The evil of silence" dedicated to you.
In Germany they first came for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me —
and by that time no one was left to speak up.
Pastor Martin Niemöller - WW II (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_they_came...)
Dear Tun,
Now the Malays are angry with the Chinese and the Chinese are angry with the Malays.
The above statement is UNTRUE, our economy and political problems are not because of racial issue. Chinese did not cause the Malay to suffer and vice versa. The issue is with the BN government who led the people down. People are not happy with the way BN is ruling the country.
Salaam Tun,
What's happening now in Malaysia has never happened before during your era. No Hindraf, No Ahmad Ismail, Nobody dares to play the race card to the level or degree that we are seeing now.
Why? Because of the strong and decisive leadership by you (your political enemies may say because of your dictatorship style)
But the fact remains that race relationship was far much better from 1981-2003. Those who deny this fact are indeed blind and should be sent to "Pusat latihan Orang Buta Brickfields' to learn new skills in order to survive in this era.
Another factor is due to indecisiveness and 'flip-flop' stand of AAB. At one time he said Ahmad Ismail should apologise, then he said Ahmad did not mean to be a racist, then after that he told all of us that Ahmad was too much. Even my kids are confused. Let alone the British investors that are ready to open their company branch in Malaysia.
Please accept the fact that BN consist of at least 3 main racist parties; UMNO (Malay racist party), MCA (Chinese racist party) and MIC (Indian racist party). These parties are racists. Period.
So to manage and control three different race-based party, BN needs a very strong type of leader like Tun Dr Mahathir.
If the government arrested Sin Chew reporter and Teresa under ISA only to be released in a short time, why on the first place bother to arrest them. Both Ahmad and the reporter should be arrested. You have done that during Operasi Lallang. You arrested leaders from opposition, Lim Kit Siang as well as the Malay champion like Ibrahim Ali that time
When AAB arrested them, the Chineses are angry. When he released them in such a short time as if the initial arrest were made without any strong legal basis, the Malays are angry.
Now Teresa's accusation about 'dog food' quality for ISA detainees published everywhere, even here in the UK. So what benefits that our country gained from AAB short-mindedness and recent ISA outburst? Nothing.
One thing for sure, every time I passed-by Madame Tussaud here on my way to Regents Park Mosque to pray, I am positively sure that if Abdullah Badawi wax to be put inside Madame Tussaud, they will be spoilt for choices, in term of as to which sleeping styles to select from many different styles of AAB caught sleeping in public!
Assalamualaikum Tun,
At least the chinese, indian and malays in the BN coalition still got one thing in common; non are willing to speak up and stand up for the truth against Abdullah Badawi.
A wife told me: 'I rather have a dominant and slightly naughty husband (mean sometimes fool around outside) but can earn a lot of money and protect my family; rather than married a mr. nice guy who cannot make money and yet always surrender to outsider who I quarrel with"
Chinese got one word "If a man not naughty, woman will not like him"
To certain extent, I think sometimes this apply to a leader.
What for we have a Mr. Nice guy, who only know how to visit the immigration department, taking LRT with rakyat and etc, BUT do not know how to make the country stable and prosperous.
Beside angry and dislike, sometimes we feel the SHAME of being lead by him.
I am very much agree with u Tun.. very much...
Barisan Nasional component party's leader seem to be panic without the right leadership among them. This situation gave advantages for the opposition, people seem to have no better choice than giving the opposition an opportunity. The culture of BN make leaders not willing to give but only take, so restructuring BN is not easy if the leaders are greed. Each of them still protecting for their own possition. This mean we still do not have the real leaders to lead us. It is because our country do not practise meritokracy.
Salam Dr M
Semoga sihat selalu.
a) SIDDEK = SENTIASA BERKATA BENAR
b) TABLIGH = MENYAMPAIKAN PERKARA KEBENARAN
c) AMANAH = PEMIMPIN YANG BERTANGGUNGJAWAB
d) FATONAH = MEMBAWA KEBAIKAN KEPADA RAKYAT YANG DIPIMPIN
ABD RAHMAN AHMAD
KLUANG JOHOR
BN is not longer relevant
Before it might seem like only Pak Lah is the subject matters
but now, Millions of Malaysia has already know their leader (BN-Gov) true colors
Again, Rom is not build within a night, but ruin within a night!
Disturbing but true facts about BN.Tell us what you think we have to do.
Salam Tun...
Things going bad recently...
I juz hope dat there is someone that can replace our PM...
Not Anwar Ibrahim but someone who thinks wisely like you...
Or Tun, i think you should govern Malaysia again...
Nothin is impossible in politics rite Tun??
Lots of people support you...
Thanx..

Dr M,
Help Pak Lah as you are chosen him....
Salam Tun,
Artikel Tun menunjukkan keadaan dlm BN sudah semakin parah. Makanya anwar berani cabar paklah untuk sidang tergempar. Beliau ingin mengambil kesempatan atas keadaan sekarang. Waktu sama anwar juga tahu paklah gelabah dan takkan berani sahut cabaran, jadi serampang dua mata - lebih masa buat anwar kerana belum cukup katak
- mcm catur, anwar dah jalan, sekarang giliran paklah
pula. jadi rakyat dah lupa janji 16/9. Kemaluan anwar tak
lah besar !
Selamat berpuasa Tun. Wassalam.

KENAPA PEMIKIRAN PERDANA MENTERI TIDAK MACAM PERDANA MENTERI?
Dear Tun,
You are right,if we still do not changed the captain, the ship is sinking fast and is going faster than we thought.Few clients of mine has pulling out their investment in Malaysia recently not only because of the unstable political & economy issues but also lost confidence towards our government. They have set up their factory for the plastic medical equipments and obtained an apporval from the custom execise in PUTRAJAYA and confirmed the item imported to M'sia will be tax free but was being charged 24 % tax when the containers arrived in KLIA cargo simply because that the officer in KLIA refused to recognise the approval letter from Putrajaya & Kelana Jaya. Few millions of investment left M'sia and several company are doing so soon. What the hell is going on in the government departments again !! I have no explainations for my foreign investors but shameful for our government.
How r u, Tun??
I agree w u that we r all looking for scapegoats when something is not right.. MCA & Gerakan are angry at UMNO, UMNO is also unhappy w them bcos they didnt or couldn't deliver the chinese votes to BN.. No one is really looking within themselves to see wat the real raesons r for their defeat..
Do they not see if this problem is solved soon, it might break us up as a nation??? To break is easy but to build it up again may take us another eternity..
Tun,
Tumpang lalu:
For those Racists who are going to jump on TUN over this Blog;
I was alerted to read the today's NST on a Q&A with Tan Sri Dr Khoo Kay Kim on the current issue of the Race Relations, which I found very educational and invigorating that answers all our doubts all along. Please make an opportunity to read it. You would not be disappointed!
Incidentally, on page 2, Pak Lah was seen seated next to his wife who was holding a Quran. I wonder if "their air sembahyang" tak batal lagi, or maybe Islam Hadhari allows it kot?!
Salam Tun,
Inikah cerita kerana Sultan tak betol..
Rakyat menderita!
Wassallam
I dont agree on your point no.7. Now the Malays are angry with the Chinese and the Chinese are angry with the Malays. The rakyat are not angry with each other,it is the politicians (you included) that is trying to split the races in order to gain support and popularity. The rakyat are dissapointed with the quality of our PM and the cabinet.Look at how our Home Minister handle questions from the press,oh my god!! Cant believe he is a lawyer.Well, NEP product mah !!!
Dear Dr. Mahathir,
I really agree with you. You had table out a lots of reasons why our PM now is not capable to run the country. But now i looking views from you to justify all that if govt will need to be change. Can you highlight how Dato' Najib can do better ( if Najib will be the PM). may be we miss that points. Can you list out all things can do better if new government fill have to setup soon. I hope you don't mind to share some of it, even though Najib may use you ideas...

Dear Tun,
I wish someone can safe the economy of our country. Like what Tun quoted at your previous write-up, the world is facing a bad time but non of our leaders notice it coming. They only worried about their own interest. I'm really worried, day by day we see the currency shooting up, business decreasing, bad collection, things getting more and more expensive. It had affected not only the lower income group but also the middle income group. I also agreed with Tun if we re-peg the Ringgit. I do not know how much it will be, but for me I think it shouldn't be more than RM 3.10 = USD 1.00. Althought may not be a good revenue for our export market, but most of our operating cost are due to imports. If import cost are high, it will not benefit the export as well because of the cost of operation are high too. God bless this country!
I agreed with you Tun. My mother always said whatever happens, she will always with UMNO dulu kini dan selamanya, and I believe we should not run away or blame each other. We should ask ourself what went wrong and do some correction. Please do PDCA cycle, Plan, Do, Check, and Action. Make a Huge Fishbone Diagram with many bones so we can writedown all our problems, then lets focus one by one and find a solutions or countermeasure. Do in teamwork.
I wonder are they doing this???
not agree with point no 24.
pr will perform. you will see it

Salam Tun dan Keluarga semua.
"15. I once said Malaysia as a multi-racial country needs a strong government. Multi-racial countries have to face race relation problems. With the need to handle racial problems, the managment of the economy becomes extremely difficult."
Saya sangat setuju tun. kawan-kawan saya samada orang melayu, india dan cina mengeluh pasal kerajaan yang lembek ni.
menurut mereka, kita hadapi krisis 3F sekarang ni (Foods, Fuels and Finance) tapi kerajaan sekarang hilang punca dan arah tuju pulak.
kawan-kawan dalam parti pembangkang pun takut. mereka cuma nak membangkang je.. tapi bila kerajaan sekarang ni goyang, mereka takut mereka terpaksa pikul beban tu nanti. jadi mereka minta supaya kerajaan yang ada sekarang ni lakukan sesuatu supaya menjadi kuat semula. jelas mereka mereka hanya tahu membangkang je... mereka tak berminat untuk memerintah..
Tun, what we need right now, more than anything else is the unifying wisdom that you possess.
I hope the current administration would take heed of your opinions and views, although not in the open, but still these thoughts be given due considerations.
For all Malaysians.
CekikDarah.com
The current BN is hopeless.
They did not use ISA on Ahmad who try to stir racial disharmony but choose to arrest someone who is innocent.
The excuses were simply illogical. The government thinks the rakyat is stupid? If they continue to treat us with nonsense, they will continue to rot and fail.
Dear Tun
The country needs a strong leader to overcome all or most of the existing problems! The longer Pak Lah stays in power the country will be in chaos! None of the politicians are bold enough to challenge the top leaders and fight for the truth all the way i.e Pak Lah must go!!! If he remains PM after the UMNO meeting in December, I dread the worst to come to all Malaysians.
Asaby
Tun,
Renung2kan lah, NAUZUBILLAH-MINZALIKH.
WASSALAM.
Akram.
its time for AAB to step down before he destroys the country.. will he?
he has the defence porfolio but he is still khazanah chairman.. amcam?
My most respected and admired Tun
Selagi BN tetap tidur and tidak berubah, rakyat tiada pilihan selain menyokong PR.
If BN does indeed lose power they have only their own inaction to blame.
Salam Tun,
The BN use to think that the MALAYSIANS not dare to go for the change, maybe they in think the rakyat won't take the risk. Mind you, the opposition can now able to sit down together and talk. But wether they can uphold the values of our constituitions, yet to be seen. Like you have always said before there are no permanant enemy or friend in politics.
But personally for me BN is always my choise. For BN be more effective those old folks must go.
"19. I am not an UMNO member"
there are talks that Tun are planning to be in the UMNO again..
can u clarify this issue Tun.
and i would like to suggest that rather than saying only things about the current political turmoil (which by now we are quite bored about), we also want to hear more about yourself.
About you and and your wife, the activities you do with your family, especially your grandchildren and all.
Maybe putting up some pics of you and them.
Personal touch as some says.
Take care
AZMI KHAN
Salam Tun
While I disagreed slightly with your earlier post (BN I), I now fully agree with your latest post ( BN II), especially your view that there is need for 'new thinking on BN" while maintaining the underlying spirit of inter-ethnic accommodation.
Also, on the economic side, Al Jazeera today 22/9, quoted an economist from Third World Network who pointed out the ironic double standard of the current US government's bailout of Wall Street versus accusation of cronyism against your administration's intervention to rescue government-linked companies in 1997.
You must feel vindicated ! Well done for doing the right thing.
i'm second..i'm agree with you sir
Salam Tun.
Pendidikan kita sebenarnya menggalakkan perkauman.
Tidakkah kita lihat bahawa mengelompok kanak-kanak mengikut ras menanamkam sikap perkauman? Darjah satu. Katanya untuk elak kekeliruan pelajar.
Jadi, dalam hal perkauman bagaimana? perlukah kita menunggu semua kanak-kanak mencapai umur 13 tahun baru ditanamkan sikap tidak 'berpuak-puak?'. Ini juga perlukan pendekatan 'mula dari bawah...'
Saya bukanlah pakar bahkan saya cumalah semut kecil lagi tidak berkuasa. saya sekadar memberi komentar apa yang sepatutnya dilakukan untuk mewujudkan bangsa Malaysia sejati.
SK, SJKC, SJKT bagaikan kelompok parti.Bergabung membentuk kerajaan.
Wassalam...

"22. As the Malays say "Because of one drop of indigo, a whole pot of milk is spoilt."
Bak kata pepatah melayu " Bersatu Teguh, Bercerai Roboh ".
" Ambil Yang Jernih Dan Buang Yang Keroh "
*~~~~~~~ Wassalam ~~~~~~~~*
whatever you are saying - is not working out. the future pm doesn't want to peg ringgit. and for your info- this country is going hay-wired- i have no idea who has cursed this country!! actually it seems more like a drama- anwar is saying something and no action from him. badawi is saying something and changing minds frequently- najib is staying away from all the troubles - denying everything just like pak lah!! seems to be living in fantasy!..everyone are the same!! SEMUA SAMA AJE!!

"The BN is still relevant.
It is still the ideal coalition for Malaysia's multi-racial population".
An indepth advice that need to be digested.
Tun we Love You
Dearest TUN,
My opinion, a very true and to the point comment today.
Keep it up and God bless you and family.
i agree with you sir
Assalamualaikum YB Tun
BN is still relevan.. Betoi tapi BN mesti kena 'post moterm'
by who?? You Doc!!!!!
Salam Ramadhan Tun yg dikasihi.
Kita tak cuba PR lagi.
So far BN dah bercelaru sebab paklah tak reti nak handle. Nak betulkan balik BN ni will take time.
Let us be fair.
Open up our mind.
Let PR perintah first and we'll see the outcome.
Anwar had gone tru quite a long training under you sir. And you had confirmed his ability to run the country. This endorsement is very important. Out of personal disliking, you suddenly disapprove him.
I know deep in your heart you will agree that Anwar is still the best choice we have at this very moment, to save the country from all the havoc.
so, please sir, for once, for the sake and for the love of our country. If you could probably try to admit this fact. Just throw away your pride for a moment and declare the truth.
yee.
Tun,
1)Since you have made a diagnosis of the current situation, why not suggest a detailed solution?Just like you have suggested that our RM should be repegged, now the government may agree to implement it.
2)What do you think of the post of FM 2?Do you agree that it is about time to get rid of it?
3)You mention that the BN is still the best political solution Provider. How?For once I cannot view the current leaders are capable to sort out a new path for the rakyat and economy. What is the new ideal solution for all or where is the central line which every one should adhere to?
4)The Chinese would want the FM portfolio back. Can it be done?
Salam TUN,
I am retiree from my own business.I moved my family to Kuantan from Kuala Lumpur.I find peace and tranquility facing the South China Sea.But, now I am saddened with the current politics in the country. How my children gonna face in years to come.Politicians bickering at each other,1 year already wasted. If in business 1 week without any closed deal, means 3 months down the line means trouble in getting the overhead cleared let alone talking about profit. Please do something TUN.Majority of the politicians we have in UMNO are lickers. They are empty cans,as a result they play money politics in order to win(source from govt. tenders)as such they are tight lip in addressing issues which affects their livelihood. At least our former DeFacto law minister has the guts to quit and put his foot down.
I agree with that BN is still the best party at this time, what we need is a concerted effort from all parties to sit down and think of reengineering back BN,perso
